West Caldwell is a borough with a settled residential side of postwar ranches, colonials and split-levels and a working commercial and light-industrial area along its Passaic River edge. The result is a steady mix of home system replacements and commercial service calls. We are a Bergen County company and the Caldwells are a familiar run for our crews.

What We See in West Caldwell Homes & Buildings
- Postwar ranches, colonials and split-levels make up most of the housing, generally with ducted forced-air heating and cooling.
- Systems installed in the 1990s and 2000s are now reaching the end of their service life, so replacements and refrigerant-related repairs are common.
- The borough's industrial and office buildings run rooftop units and commercial water heating, which is different work from the residential side.

West Caldwell Plumbing & HVAC FAQs
Our AC needs refrigerant every summer. Is topping it off a problem?
Yes. A system that needs refrigerant annually has a leak, and adding more each year just pays for the same loss over again. We find and repair the leak, then evaluate whether the unit is worth keeping.
Is it better to replace the furnace and AC at the same time?
Often it is, because the indoor coil and blower have to match the outdoor unit. If one is failing and the other is close in age, replacing together usually performs better and costs less than two separate projects.
Do you service commercial buildings in the industrial area?
Yes. Rooftop units, commercial water heaters, unit heaters and drain and sewer work for warehouse and office buildings are all part of what we do here.
